A Burnsville tradition is back! Burnsville High School’s longtime, fully staged musical revue, Showcase, is returning with combined performances of four incredible BHS arts programs: choir, theatre, jazz band and dance. From Hamilton to Prince, and from Tina Turner to Barbie (and Ken!), Showcase will feature a dazzling lineup of song and dance. Other numbers will be drawn from the musicals Encanto, In the Heights, Means Girls the Musical, Spring Awakening, Hairspray, Wicked, and artists including Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Noah Kahan, and Diana Ross. The production of vocal solos, ensembles, full chorus numbers, dance and jazz is built around this year’s Showcase theme, “Know Your Worth.” The theme highlights the principles of history, heritage, pride, purpose, and community. The concept was developed by Drew Edwards of Minneapolis, who has generously partnered with the school for the production.
